Greater Jamestown Empire Zone (GJEZ)

GJEZ is a cooperative venture of the City of Jamestown, the Town of Ellicott, the Town of Busti and the Village of Falconer. The Zone includes the industrial corridor, the Joseph Mason, Airport Hill and Stoneman Circle Industrial Parks.

There are more than 130 businesses in manufacturing, retail, commercial and service industries employing from 5 -1,000. Clusters of industries include metal, transportation, and furniture products.

With areas available for development, low energy costs (5-6 cents/KW), abundant water, sewers, affordable financing, incubator space, and a coordinated, professional development team, GJEZ is ready to locate your business in the Southern Tier.

The BPU has began a new Economic Development Plan effective January 24, 2003, to make additional affordable power to existing businesses that expand their power usage, and to attract potential new businesses to the Jamestown area. The new plan consists of five (5) rates with various terms and conditions and is available to expanding and new customers located in the BPU area.
